Preparing the track

Before each tracor pull match, a lot of preparing work has already been done. The track is prepared, dryed, equalized, losend up, stones are removed, etc etc, everything it needs to garantee a good track. Sometimes is even a specific type of dirt added and mixed with the track to obtain good grip and substancy.

Preparation of the track sometimes already starts weeks or even months ahead of a tractor pulling match.

Also during the match, the track is continously flattened, equalized and if needed cleaned in between each participant.

Maintaining the track in a good condition during the match assures participants to have more or less all the same track conditions. If needed, water can be added to the track to keep it moist. In some countries, like for instance Holland who are often dealing with a lot of rainfall, special drainage has been put in place underneath the tracks that are used for tractor pulling, to avoid retaining (too much) water underneath the track.
